The history of the SUPERBIKE*IDK 2014 has been written. The final chapter ended on the Hockenheim race track last week. Stefan Kerschbaumer of Team Langenscheidt Racing by Fast Bike Service was one deciding factor of that. The Austrian once again competed on his Yamaha YZF-R6 in the Supersport 600 category and earned himself a place on the podium, finishing in second in the first race. Only champion Marvin Fritz beat him to the finish. Kerschbaumer had already previously established himself as third overall in his highly competitive category.

Pepijn Bijsterbosch occupied places five and eleven in the race. The Dutchman improved by one place in the championship rankings. He pulled ahead of Tatu Lausletho of Finland and came in fourth overall.

Swissman Michael Ghilardi also competed on behalf of Team Langenscheidt Racing by Fast Bike Service in the finale. His results in Hockenheim: 12th place in the first race and a highside in the second.

Daniel Rauh, Team Manager: I would like to thank all of our partners who have contributed to the success of the 2014 season. Stefan Kerschbaumer and Pepijn Bijsterbosch were able to achieve a podium finish. Next year our team will ascend to the Superstock 1000 category. Support from Yamaha has already been confirmed. The driver issue has not yet been resolved. In any case, it will be one who can go all the way right off the bat.“
