Felbermayr: Driver fix for the WEC
With a strong cast of the new season
Ummendorf. Today was team boss Christian Ried announced the squad for the team Felbermayr for the World Endurance Championship and the 24-hour race at Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Marc Lieb and Richard Lietz will share the cockpit, as previously announced, the new Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in the GTE-Pro class. They are supported by the French at Sebring Porsche works driver Patrick Pilet and at Le Mans by Wolf Henzler (D). Team boss Christian Ried and Gianluca Roda (I) will have the Italian Paolo Ruberti as a partner.
Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler in the team is already well established and could, together with Richard Lietz and Marc Lieb in 2010 to celebrate one of his greatest achievements when he took the class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Patrick Pilet has at least a second place finish at the 24 Hours of Spa on the success list. Here, too, Richard Lietz and Wolf Henzler was next to team owner Raymond Narac with it.
In the class-GTE is the first time on Paolo Ruberti join the Felbermayr squad. The Verona was the Formula 3000 in the GT sports and can look back on two second places at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Italian language is also slowly becoming more popular in the team: In addition to the riders Gianluca Roda and Paolo Ruberti includes the race engineers and Andrea Mercatelli Tomaso Delfanti and permanent staff for years.
