Thomas Berghammer 5th Race in the Austrian Championship
and host races of the IDM
on 2 and 3 July 2011
Route: Salzburg Ring
Last weekend was the big home game held at Salzburg Ring, and Thomas both runs of the IDM (International German Championship) as a guest, and a barrel of IOEM (International Austrian Championships), each of the Supersport 600 class, denied.
Although the weather all weekend was cold and rainy, it was a very successful weekend. Thomas, the sensation. He drove in the wet race on Saturday afternoon, his first home victory of IDM, which is a small private team for an outstanding performance behind it since the great teams around the IDM-5-fold on budget. The joy of victory, however, lasted only briefly, because he was deprived of this technology to the review because of a technical violation. In some respects the German Supersport regulations are different from the Austrian Supersport regulations. Thus Thomas was allowed during the second round on Sunday while IDM go to the start, but only join in the fight until the penultimate lap and then had to leave the field. Thomas took advantage of this race
To prove his talent in the dry and forced to recite the sixth field. When the Austrian Championship race, which was again declared as “Wetrace,” Thomas could again prove his skills and won the race confidently with a few seconds ahead of second place.
For the overall rankings this mean for Thomas still in first place in the Austrian championship with a lead of 28 points now on the second place.
The whole team thanks, in spite of the almost unbearable weather, for many of you coming and hope that despite everything you
have come at your expense.
Thomas is with the performances this weekend more than happy and proud, hoping that when it
next race goes so successful that on 24 Most take place in July.
